Should Claude Code be a requirement for Software Engineering? Someone in my network wrote:
"PSA for Software Engineering job seekers. As someone who just manually looked at over 200 resumes (without AI) today, I want to say that when I'm scanning the resumes, I'm looking for only one thing and 99.9% of the resumes do not have it: the ability to use Claude Code as an expert. Multiple simultaneous agents, worktrees, skills, plugins, CICD that incorporates autonomous code reviews, and a personal workflow that tie everything together. That's not to say that I don't care about anything else. But if I don't see it, I move on. This will be every software recruiter very soon. Adapt accordingly."
Do you agree? Does this take precedence over engineering principles, coding skills, understanding of security principles, etc.?
